Instead of using Wordpress I have written my own content management system. Not only was it a good practice in programming but my site is a lot simpler than a Wordpress site. I think it's faster too due to my use of memcache.

I have an IBM thinkmad model A31 notebook computer running Winderz XP sp2. I bought a Dynex model DX-UC202 PCMCIA card bus adapter with usb 2.0 capability. I downloaded the correct drivers from the Dynex website. The Dynex literature tells you how to verify that the correct drivers were installed. THEY WERE NOT. No matter what I do, the correct drivers won't install, and if I try to use the device, such as for a thumb drive, it locks up the puter and trashes the file system on the thumb drive, thus requiring reformating. I have yet another IBM thinkmad notebook running Winderz 98. The win98 drivers install just fine and the Dynex usb adapter works fine. I explained all this in an email to Dynex tech support. Their reply was nonsensical.

Hi. I have an old computer with usb 1,1 and want to go to 2.0. I'm interested in the 2.0 pcm card but I'm running windows 98 o/s. Will I need to upgrade to windows 2000 for the card to work or can I stay with windows 98?

So connecting one of those 2.0 hub extensions with the 4 port adapter into the "USB port on my pc will not upgrade my 1.1 to 2.0? I have to go inside?

The USB 2.0 standard has a theoretical maximum speed of 480 Mbps. I don't know of a device that can actually reach this maximum but suffice it to say that your devices will be a heck of a lot faster with USB 2.0.

I have old computer with usb 1.0 port, have
empty PCI slot and wanna upgrade with PCI
usb 2.0 port. My question is, what will be the current speed for all devices that
connected to this new PCI usb 2.0 port?
ps. my devices are all usb 2.0.

because i know, usb 1.0 is verry slloowww!!

As far as I know you will not need new cables in order to acheive USB 2.0 speeds. The old cables should work just fine.
