Comments on: Showing and Hiding a DIV using CSS and Javascript

I do my validation server side with PHP. When the form is submitted it reloads the page to display the error. Does anyone know how to make it so the DIV does not hide after the reload?

this script does not work on my site, I am not sure what I did wrong.

Main changes: I replaced ID with CLASS, Inserted the CSS in my external stylesheet.
It always says there is an error in the js.

My site is hidden from public eye (under development) but if you email me, I'm happy to show you.

Thanks for such nice article.

I got the sucess in hiding div tag. but after make it hidden text is hidden but placeholder of tag is still present. Is there any way to hide the place holder also?
