allen, you could try looking in c:\Program Files\Winamp\ to see if it looks like Winamp is installed there. If it is then you could delete the whole folder and then download the latest version of Winamp from winamp.com and install that. I would imagine that this should fix your problem.

allen, right-click the shortcut you use to launch Winamp and go to 'Properties'. If you look at the 'Target' field it will tell you where it is running Winamp from so you will know where to delete it from. If that does not work then try searching your whole hard drive for the file 'winamp.exe' and if you have multiple hard drives search all of them so that you can locate where winamp is installed.
After you have removed Winamp from your computer then download the latest Winamp from winamp.com and install it and that should fix it.

I did what the instructions said and my video files work fine for awhile but then the error pops up again and shuts down my movie maker.
I can open it up again and the files work for awhile but then the error shows up again.
Any help? Also I could not find winamp on my computer.

Hy . If you don't have xvid. in your control panel don't matter . Just instal the codec than the problem will disapear.

Alex is right, if you don't see xvid in your control panel you can still get rid of the error by installing xvid.
