This works in XP PRO, not sure for VISTA
GO TO THE START MENU THEN CLICK RUN. IN THE BOX TYPE IN services.msc
A SCREEN WILL POP UP. THEN SCROLL DOWN TO window audio AND CLICK ON IT. RIGHT NOW IT IS OFF SO CLICK START TO TURN IT ON. THIS WILL SOLVE THE AUDIO PROBLEM 99 PERCENT OF THE TIME.

hello, i have tried everything enlisted here, but it didn't work... so i called my friend and shoed him this article, which i must admit is very detailed and accurate, we red it together once again,, tried all of this and nothing.. then he did something.. he restarted pc and got into bias, don't be mad with me because i might make some mistakes related to this terms and issues, there he adjusted settings for audio, it was disabled somehow.... and he put enable, and the error 88780078 or 8878000a diappeared... believe me... i have been trying for day to resolve this error, i was desperate, and so many sites did i vbisit but nnothing helped... try this!!!!!!!
